I don't think so. I usually sharpen them that much myself (usually). This is, it looks fine as I'm making it but once its saved everythings incredibly pixelized. It's bizzare. And this ones worse than any other's I've done before and it sucks cause I love the collage but it looks crappy because of it. :-P
You can't do one of those projects while you're hair is being prepped to dry? You know I'm going to nag you until you have all your homework done. I don't have a kid of my own, so I'm adopting you.
I like kids--well behaved kids--that belong to other people. ;-) You have noticed that I write kid fic. Kids really are great as are puppies and kitties. All this kid talk has me missing my nieces. The eldest one just had her first visit from the Tooth Fairy.
You know the sooner you finish you're crappy journal articles the sooner you can write your SPN review and we can play.
I don't use GIMP either but foxestacado may have hit the nail on the head. The file format can significantly decrease the quality of an image. I always save as .png but there are debates over what the best format is. Also, re the sharpening, I used to have trouble getting enough clarity but now there are other techniques I use. Using Overlay, Burn and/or altering the Brightness sometimes helps with this. I also never use Sharpen, but instead use Unsharp. Don't know what these things are called in GIMP but it will have an alternative. Also, if you're increasing the size of your original image it will become pixelated, and I wouldn't have a clue how to fix that! Hope you figure it out. :)
