Ducky would be harder for me. I have fond memories of the actor on The Man From Uncle.

For me, McGee's the weakest link in the group dynamic. He's basically there to be computer geek, which isn't necessary every week and give somebody for Tony to tease and he's got Ziva for that, now.

Then there's Gibbs. Tony could easily take over the team. I could deal with losing Gibbs as long as they don't do what they did on Criminal Minds and replace the group leader with new actor. Tony would be the best choice to replace Gibbs.

The more I think about it, it probably won't be Jenny. Killing off Jenny wouldn't have the emotional impact of killing off a main character would. That makes me scared for Tony, Ziva and Abby.

I really think it's going to be Abby, Tony, McGee or Gibbs. It would be odd to kill off Ziva since she replaced a character that was killed off. That seems like weak story telling, but you never know.

I think I'm going to go spoiler hunting. I really want to know.

I agree. But, as someone else pointed out, this thing with her father has been building up all season and the death may have something to do with that.

In a way, I feel like they've been preparing us for quite some time for Mark's depature. It seems like his role has become smaller and smaller.

I went spoiler hunting and couldn't find anything on just who is leaving, but I did find this at spoilerfix.com.

04/09 - Sources confirm that a major castmember - a series regular - is on the way out. [...] The actor in question will exit the series in a dramatic fashion. I might even go so far as to call it a major freakin' twist, the repercussions of which will be felt well into next season and, perhaps, beyond. Well, with Mark, it was because of a falling out with Bellasario. I wouldn't be surprised if it is Gibbs, but, as ahnka said, Bellasario did concede to Mark, so there shouldn't be a reason to leave.

But hey, if you find out how it is that dies...I don't want to know, k?

Did the spoiler you read specifically say murdered? This one makes is sound like something else.

What did Mark want? More money or less time on the job or both?

The Deadliest Catch didn't start until 9, so I watched NCIS. Since you don't like animals, I don't think you're going to particularly care for this week's episode or identify with it.

They one I saw did say murdered. I'd find it but it was on ONTD which would mean going back like 50 pages looking for one blurb (I really wish they tagged).

I actually never heard what it was he wanted. I just know that they'd set it up at the end of S3 for him to leave, that they had a falling out, but then they worked whatever it was out so that he did come back.

Yeah, I definitely didn't. I mean yes, ok, prove the dog was innocent. Don't want it to be killed if it is innocent. And by all means, it wasn't the dog's fault it got into the coke and went beserk. But McGee had every right to shoot it and NO WAY would I EVER have taken it into my home. That just seemed so unrealistic to me.

I knew you wouldn't get it, not being a dog person and all.

The dog was protecting his home. McGee was breaking in. The dog acted like it was trained to. You'd think the NCIS team would know that a soldier who was trained to be a dog handler would have said dog at his home.

Oh, I was also speculating. The Director seems to be sick or something, right? So that's probably not murder. Also, they already killed one female. Killing off another but no male leads? I think the show would be getting hordes of angry fan mail over that.

My best guess is that The Director either has cancer or is being poisoned. It's probably the former.

Do you think NCIS fans are going to bother with gender politics? They don't seem as rabid as some of the other fandoms, but I could be wrong.

Cancer seems likely...but so damn mundane. Can't be radiation poisoning thought because we already had that.

Rabid, no. But of when two lead characters have been killed off and BOTH are women? I normally hate that kind of racist/gender/whatever issues with TV, but that even I would be a bit miffed at.

Oh, this just came to me. Just because Ducky would go out of his way for the Director...doesn't mean the bloodwork IS the Director's. Could have something to do with her father, again.
