Apparently headcanoning Jensen Ackles as Michael Scofield was a popular thing back in the day and every time I read it in a fic I crack the fuck up.



I think the best part may be that Jensen is still doing Supernatural and Wentworth is currently continuing Prison Break. So, nothing has really changed in 8+ years.

I'm still trying to wrap my brain around fic that re-casts so they can make Jensen fit. I don't think I've ever heard of that in a fandom before.

No, sorry, I guess I didn't make it clear. An odd number of fics reference a movie being made of Scofield's prison break. Like made-for-TV type movies or just have the characters talk about if the events were made into a movie and who would play them. Then in those "movies" Jensen is always cast as Michael Scofield. So I'm not reading a fic imagining Jensen Ackles as Michael Scofiled, but reading (some totally meta) fic set in the PB verse where Michael Scofield is watching a movie about himself and he's being portrayed by Jensen Ackles.

Now I get it. That makes sense. I was trying to figure out why they'd be writing a fic about re-casting. I just don't see Jensen in that part. I think he could knock Batman out of the park, though.

Yeah, there are a lot of references to both "Michael" (Wentworth) and Jensen being "pretty" so I guess that's where it came from. But also, again, using the popular TV actor of the time.

Never saw Jensen as Batman (I was iffy on him as Cap, too), but I love him voicing Jason Todd in Under the Red Hood. If they'd done a live action back then I could totally have seen Jensen with his hair a little darker playing a decent Jason. Hell, Dean Winchester is Jason Todd in many ways: trying to do good things but willing to take down anything in his way or that is "bad" without looking at the grey areas (and failing sometimes to recognize how they themselves are grey). Both are chaotic neutrals, IMO.

I forgot about Under the Red Hood. I couldn't even tell you when I saw that last. I still miss him as Alec. Maybe I should do something about that. And btw, go look at my last post. It was mostly for you.
