You can go back to the old layout. If you put your cursor between where it says Post in Blog and the little magnifying glass thingie it will give you the option. I like the new one, because the font is easier for me to read, but hate the rest of it. Why does lj think we care about strangers' journals? It's annoying.

Yeah, I've got it in the old one (did that right away), but I know at some point that won't be an option (like FB and twitter have done) and then I'll really cry.

I took once glance at it and clicked the switch to old version. I haven't even tried after looking at it. I'm terrified for when I'm no longer allowed the old version.

And did they completely take away the thing from the homepage where you could see the latest comments people had left you (not just on your own journal, on their journals too) or is it hidden elsewhere? That was super practical when there were NO NOTIFICATIONS SEVEN WEEKENDS IN A ROW!

I just logged on tonight and I was like WTF??? I can't seem to go back to the original look. The option is missing for me when I hover like Skye mentioned. Blah. They've been trying to kill LJ for a while. They're getting ever closer.

Hmm, mines sitting in a header at the top. You're getting nothing? That's rough! And yes, I think this attempt to be tumblr is only going to hurt LJ (clearly, not only by my own reaction, but I haven't seen any positive reactions).
