Justice League (2001)

Currently obsessing over this show. OBSESSING. I've watched almost 2 full seasons in 2 days. (And people wonder why my prospectus is nowhere.)

Things I love:

• Batman


• Batman being snarky


• Batman and Wonder Woman


• Batman and Superman - they hug


• Batman snarking about his inability to fly


• Batman being a smartypants who ends up saving the collective asses of the team more times than not


• Hawkgirl - very snarky


• Martian Manhunter's (J'onn J'onzz) true form - it's actually alien in appearance and not just a weird looking head


• The fact that while the show is supposedly for 8-10 year olds...I wouldn't let them watch it. People actually die. Superman threatens to kill people. There's a lot of UST. People make out. Villains are kind of scary.


• Episodes Maid of Honor 1&2 - I totally ship Diana/Audrey


• Wonder Woman and Hawkgirl's different approaches to men - hilarious


• Bruce and Diana dancing. ♥


• Batman clutching a piece of Superman's cloak, rewatching a tape of his (supposed) death. And of course, being the first to decide Superman isn't dead. /gross sobbing

I mean, Flash is kind of annoying and Green Lantern is kind of heroically boring, but I like that they have 2 girls on the team at the same time, I enjoy J'onn and his powers and strange POV. I am in love with Bruce/Diana, but also totally slash Bruce and Clark (they have some serious adorable chemistry with Bruce all "I DO NOT LAUGH" and Clark all huggy). And then, just Batman generally. Like, I've seen most Batman things - all the movies, the solo Batman cartoon from the 90's...and just never cared. But he's normally either goofy and unbelievable, or super dark and depressing (which is sometimes fine, but maybe it's been the actors or something, I can't get into it). This Batman is stoic and sarcastic and snarky and ends up being the comedic relief as he just stands there staring at all the craziness around him. I actually find myself yelling at the screen how much I love him. And okay, the weird combination of CGI and regular animation is amusing. But seriously, I love this little show.

Wishing I had time to write fic. And make icons or something. No one has made any since about 2006. :P

Justice League...one of my favorites. Love this show!

I actually wind up slashing Flash and GL at times. They're just fun together sometimes.

I love Wonder Woman and Hawkgirl. They are such great characters on here and at times I find myself shipping them.

The entire series with Batman and Superman makes me slash them constantly. Their relationship is so complicated. They have a love/hate/I can't live without you relationship. You'll see as you get into the later episodes and JL Unlimited, too.

Flash and GL do have an amusing relationship. And yes, I love the weird dynamic between Batman and Superman. They're both fighting for the same thing, but in such different ways. One of my favorite dynamics (see: Professor X and Magneto).

I really want to start JLU, especially since it seems to be considered part of Justice League (though I don't like the different animation style, boo), but ugh, I REALLY need to get some of this prospectus written before school starts. JLU is going to have to wait. :(

LOL, every time you post about procrastinating I feel some solidarity as my story sits here and I don't touch it. But I have gotten back to it over the past two days, and added a whopping 500 words to it. Now if I can get through to the middle!

Gosh, I do love JL. It’s so full of snark and sass and pure fun. Once you are done I seriously rec watching Young Justice too. So much awesome it probably isn’t even legal.

I've heard good things about YJ from another friend, so it's totally on my list to watch!
