I've been steering clear of fandom, so I don't know what the general consensus is, but I've been really liking this season so far. What's not working for you?

I've barely been paying attention to fandom because I know it will only make me angrier.

You're not bothered by Cas' lack-luster death? I mean, a lot of my anger is still left over from the finale and if I hasn't known they were going to kill Cas (better yet, not kill him at all) I might have appreciated his asking for forgiveness more. I mean, the end of the first ep was intense. Misha played that super scary and BRILLIANT. But I'm so mad at the destruction of my favorite character, the inconsistent writing, the retconning, the willy-nilly "we're writing what we want and don't even try to persuade us different because we feel like stomping all over this character". And then, the constant stating "oh, we're going back to S1 type eps" and "the angel storyline is over" and "Dean has a secret" and "Sammy is angsting over hell". AGAIN. It's like a remake of season 2 and it's going to be all angst and manly tears and God, it's not even boring, it just makes me so angry. :/ The writers are also pissing me off in their interviews and their continued handwaving of how loved Castiel was before they fucking changed his character to suit their lack of imagination and need for a plot device. Hell, Sera Gamble even admitted "the only way to take a character to the next level is to kill him, frankly". WHAT A FUCKING LAZY WRITERS COP OUT.

Ugh, sorry. I'm just bitter.

I've been that bitter about John Winchester for a few years, now: I understand where you are. That said, I got enough distance from it all that I actually have enjoyed watching the new series, without getting too much into it.

Yeah, I mean, I can't seem to stop watching like some people (and I'll still enjoy certain things about it), but man, it makes me so angry. :P

Since I watch for Sam and Dean I guess I'm not that bothered that Cas is being taken in another direction. I'm kind of curious how this is all going to work out, actually. I get it though, I was really pissed off when they killed off Krycek and I still miss Ianto to bits.
