Does anyone else have a gmail account? Did anyone else get a notice, supposedly from gmail, informing them they were shutting down their account unless they provided their information? I mean, it's not asking for my SS number or bank account, but I don't want to give out my pw if it's not legit, you know?

ETA: Gmail users, how do I contact the gmail service? I'm not seeing a contact-us-here kind of button on my page anywhere, but I may just be blind.

Thanks everyone. ♥

I have gmail and did not get that. You should report it to gmail.

Yeah, report it. Nothing here, either. Someone is phishing sounds like.

Yeah, I have like...8 gmail accounts, all linked together, and I didn't get a message like that.

Heh, because of your comment here I *just* went looking to see how you did it and duh, POP! I'm always connected to my RL gmail account, and had to keep signing out to access the rhymephile one. Now that I discovered POP and forwarding, I can have just one account open.

At least I *think* I did it right.

I don't use POP, just forwarding. And then on my one account, I can sign in as all of my different accounts.

It's really awesome. I don't need to sign in and out of accounts.

I have gmail and never got a message like that. I'd report it, as others have suggested. If it's really them, they'll let you know.

Is not them, that's sure.
First, notify that mail as a phishing attempt. To do that, open the mail, and up and on the right, you'll see two buttons: the replay one, and the other, with an arrow, Click in that one, and you'll see the option to report phishing.
And, if you want to contact them, got here, and at the end of the page, you'll see the contact us option.
Hope it'll help you.
