Help!

Where can I find decent high-res images of Ruby (Supernatural) both Katie and Geneveve's version? I'm having a tough time finding decent images via Google and don't know where to start otherwise...I mean screencaps, promo shots, etc.

Have you tried Supernatural fansites? The big ones usually have huge galleries with lots of promo shots.

I seem to have lost all my links. And my google fu is truly failing me today. I'm not getting the real websites. I'm getting the absurd-looks like it was made in 1990's fansites instead. Most of whom's pictures aren't working.

Haha, yes. I know. Well, I'd been meaning to watch it for a few years and then when I heard about the new movie, I decided I'd wait, see if I liked it. I am merely amused at how bad TNG is. It cracks me up. Although I just hit the first Borg ep. It's like, replicator-meets-Matrix=cyborg.

You do realize that TNG came well before SG-1 and The Matrix? And Patrick Stewart is awesome.

Yes, yes, I do know that. LOL 1987 did come before 1995. Merely that the ship made me think of the Matrix and the way Q described the Borg's single-mindedness and the way they scavage for technology/materials and have a hive mind made me think of the replicators.

Butting in here to say that you must wait to judge the Borg until you reach the season finale of Season 3, and the season premiere of Season 4. That is all.

Haha! I judge not. I know there's one that escapes or is separated somehow and becomes more of an individual...I like them. I think they'll be cool adversaries.

That's Summer Glau as Cameron on The Sarah Connor Chronicles. I liked her as River on Firefly, as well. Since Fox, in their stupidity cancelled TSCC, maybe Summer will finally show up on SPN.

I was so expecting to love this show. Joss Whedon rocks. I loved Buffy; I loved Angel; I loved Firefly and then this comes out. It makes me really uncomfortable to watch. I find it very sexist. She has no choice and therefore she's basically raped, either figuratively or literally, on a daily basis.

Yeah, a lot of people are saying that. It's far more complicated though. And certainly no worse than many fanfics. The flaws in it are what make it so interesting. And the dolls did volunteer...if coercively.

I try to avoid those particular fan fics.

I've only seen a few episodes at the beginning of the season. I don't understand Fox. They keep Dollhouse, but cancel The Sarah Connor Chronicles. That still confuses me, but this is the network that never even let Firefly finish a season.

Dollhouse only had 12 eps. As for why it wasn't cancelled, they discovered Dollhouse episodes gained in DVR ratings even as Nielson went down. TSCC went down overall. They also didn't want to lose the large initial investment in Dollhouse.

But yeah, FOX is messed up.

I knew there wasn't a whole season, because of the writers' strike, though I didn't know the total number of episodes.

It's got to be a guy thing. I don't know how else to explain the attraction, so what do you find compelling about it?

No, not due to the writer's strike. FOX only ordered that many. Joss actually had 13, but FOX cut the last one.

I like that there isn't really one black and white character. Eliza is a great actress first of all. I love her variations of so many characters. And all the controlling characters, even the agent who started out planning on exposing it all...they think they're doing the best thing ever, for humanity, for these people. I love watching how such unethical characters become sympathetic in a way. They may be unethical, but each one has another controller. Their job is not wholly in their own control. And they still have feelings. Love, desire, loyalty, inner conflict...

Joss and Eliza are why I wanted to love this show. Instead I came away queasey. I'm still hoping he'll do another Firefly movie. If Summer turns out to be more than a rumor, I guess I'll have to try and take Dollhouse for another spin.
