Top 5 episodes

1. The Shrine

David Hewlett's acting is always top-notch. While the plot is a little lame and the surgery with a power screwdriver? Not so much. But the acting by the whole cast, and that scene between McKay and Joe was amazing.

2. Vegas

The visuals in this episode were fabulous. I loved the totally different approach. Plus, an entire episode based on an AU--without our universe crossing over? Very cool. It's something I wish we could have seen more of. Joe's acting was phenomenal. And I loved the incarnation of Rodney we saw.

3. Search and Rescue

I just rewatched this and I loved the pairings (McKay and Lorne, Sheppard and Ronon). Sheppard's dream at the beginning was very moving and I loved that we saw Aiden again!! while the birthing scene was rather unlikely, it was a good episode overall with great snark and funny lines. I still like the introduction of Vegas even if she didn't say much. She was pretty kickass.

4. Whispers

while I wan't scared, it was creepy, unique, and I loved the team. Plus an episode with two dark-haired fellas, well, it was nice to see them interacting again.

5. Enemy at the Gate

It was packed full of action. Yes, some of it was very contrived (wormhole gate thingy, what?), and I know others didn't like the Rodney/Jennifer bit. But I liked how Woolsey stood up for Atlantis and I love Davis! (Though yes, the poor guy never gains promotion.) Just a good, ending episode.

Least 5 episodes

1. Inquisition

While it gave Woolsey an episode, it didn't really reveal much about him that we didn't already know. Yes, he can bribe and cajole and he stands up for his people. But in general, the episode was DULL.

2. Outsiders

Seriously, I had to look up what this episode was even about.

3. The Seed

A ridiculous plot.

4. Identity

While it wasn't horrible, it has been done before.

5. Remnants

I had to look this one up too. Once reminded, it wasn't so bad (the first real horror with Sheppard's hand), but the fact that I had to look it up meant it wasn't that interesting.

Well, my favorites are (in no special order) Vegas, Daedalus Variations, Search and Rescue, Enemy at the Gate, and of course, The Shrine.

I wanted to like Inquisition, but I think the writers dropped the ball. I did come out of the episode with a greater appreciation of Woolsey (and I quite liked seeing Lorne), but as for the rest of it? A disappointment.

And all of the "Let's shove Keller down our throats" episodes? Ick.

At first I thought you were doing best and worst episodes over the entire series and thinking just how much s5 sucked if all the worst eps came from it...then a read a little closer. *facepalm*

Favs: Broken Ties (Jason Mamoa shines in the detox scenes and I loved that they didn't write Ronon as unbreakable), Daedalus Variations, The Shrine, The Lost Tribe (for the great Daniel and Rodney snark) and Vegas (because Flanigan gets to finally shine).

None of those episodes focus on Keller, either, always a plus - The Shrine comes closest, but it has the scene on the pier and I ignore the last few seconds. Rather like EatG, which irritates me because I'm afraid I'll break something falling through the plot holes.

*tilts head* Idk, I feel like I really don't remember most of the episodes this season, in general. Eh. Some, like Search and Rescue, I THINK I liked, but it's been such a long time since I watched them.

I have a weak spot for The Queen mostly b/c I love Todd (and he didn't suck in that one like he did in Infection, ugh), and also I love Teyla being a badass. And in general I am fascinated by Wraith society. So, I picked Vegas, Enemy at the Gate, The Shrine, The Queen, and, eh, so I don't remember that well but I'll pick Search and Rescue for kicks.

Even though I'm not Keller/McKay shipper, Brain Storm is in my Top 5 together with Vegas, Enemy at the Gate, The Shrine and The Seed.

But because I'm easy to please the only episode I didn't like was Tracker, but that's because I never finished it, and Outsiders. That one was lame.

I don't know. I enjoyed it from the beginning (even though they could cut the end) - I can't say that for all episodes. The story wasn't boring, Keller was well written for once and Rodney didn't annoy me. And that's a plus for me.

IMHO the reason why so many fans hated it, is because it was centered around Keller and Rodney and/or it didn't have Sheppard in it.
