What is it with creators and actors spoiling the plots?! First Adrian, now Kripke. I mean, I never would have guessed Dean was still alive!! *sarcastic* All that aside, it's a really interesting interview. (And it does give one bit of information I'm really happy about.) Spoilers for S4.

What is it with you and Ruby? If she'd gotten off her ass earlier Dean wouldn't be in hell.

I can't figure out how they'd bring back Katie or Jensen, though we do know that Jensen's coming back. How could you put souls back into dead bodies? This is going to be interesting. We saw what the hell hounds did to Dean. And as far as Ruby's body goes. The body she's been using must be dead. Bobby shot it in a very sensitive spot and we don't know what else has happened to it.

Well, I figured too. but it's still a relief. And also amusing that the actor just went and spoiled the cliffhanger of the whole season.

It is a damn good question isn't it? I've had a few other conversations about it and we came to an agreement that most likely TBTP won't actually explain how it happens. Just that it will. Some demon will be able to grant perfect body-raising wishes or something. Or maybe they'll go sci-fi and decide on cloning. ;-) Well, that's TV for you.

Wouldn't Adrian's showing up at the event do that in itself?

The best idea I've heard so far for Dean's return would be to do it how they did it on Dead Like Me. I wish I could remember who suggested that so I could credit them.

I didn't know you hadn't seen it. It's about this young woman who dies and comes back as basically a reaper. Obviously her body is dead and buried, so she doesn't look like herself when she looks in the mirror and people in her life from before don't recognize her. The audience sees her as she was before.

Yeah, I've never gotten around to watching that show. I like that way, but I think Kripke negates anything like that in the interview when he says dean has to adjust to how his loved ones have moved forward--but it's still going to be about Sam and Dean, so Sam will know him.

I didn't mean to imply that Sam wouldn't know. SPN is about Sam and Dean. That's just how they did it on Dead Like Me. I just can't figure out how Dean's going to get his wrecked body back. Well, I have one idea, but that's for a fic I'm writing, so I'm keeping that to myself for the time being. :-) I doubt very much the show will go my route, based on the finale.
