Thanks to [livejournal.com profile] betagoddess for the survey thingy!

Premise: Post a list of up to 20 books/movies/anime/TV shows/video games/etc. that you've had an obsessive fannish love of at some time in your life. Have your friends list guess your favourite character from each item. Pass it on.

And like betagoddess, I won't make you guess. That'd probably get to be really confusing.

Conclusion

1. X-Files first and foremost. Favorite character? Well it started out as Mulder but it is definately now Krycek.

2. The Little Mermaid. Favorite character? Well Ariel duh, but I loved Sebastian too. Sarcastic lobsters. Who knew? lol

3. Sleeping Beauty. Favorite character? Prince Philip. You know, he doesn't say much but that voice when he does!! And he's one of very few princes with a name.

4. The Wizard of Oz. Character? The Wizard.

5. Wild America. Character? Well this one evolved too. I saw it because I was in love with Devon Sawa. Then it changed to JTT. Fortunately I got over that and grew up, and now it's all about Scott Bairstow's character.

6. Casper, movie. Character? The ghost and her father. The dad was so funny IMO. And the ghost was, of course, Devon Sawa.

6a. Casper, the comic book. Character? I loved Casper but that one witch always made me laugh.

7. Titanic. Yes, yes I know. Awful isn't it? Character? Meh, who didn't love Jack?

8. My Little Pony tv show. Character? Umm...all the pretty ponies...;-)

9. My Little Pony the movie. Character? Windwhistler and the Flutterponies. Man, they kicked serous Smooze butt!

10. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. Character? April.

11. Little Bear. Character? Little Bear of course.

12. Paddington, books and cartoon. Yes, I had a thing with ponies and teddy bears, I'm very girly. Character? Paddington and his orange marmalade

13. Sweet Valley University. The books, not the show. *shudders Character? I loved Jessica. And her hott boyfriends.lol

14. Babysitter's Club, books. Character? Stacy and Dawn. Both the exact opposite of me-rich and blonde.

15. Boxcar Kids! Character? Henry. I always imagined being his girlfriend, he was just so smart!

16. Hardy Boys, the orginal books. Character? All of them really. And I loved Chet and Tony as much as Frank and Joe.

17. Moulin Rouge. Character? Christian. I'm not a Ewan McGregor fan but when he belts out Come What May and 'why does my heart cry', who can resist?

18. Batman, the original cartoon show. Character? Robin.

19. Ever After. Character? Danielle. What a kick ass Cinderella. And the Prince was funny and noble but a little too whiny and unforgiving for my taste.

20. Monty Python. Character? How can you choose?? Uh-uh, no way possible.

So that was 20 (ahem 21). But obviously they go on into more modern fandoms, such as XF (still), Once A Thief (the Director-lmao), ok anything Nick Lea is in, Supernatural (ummm hello? Dean), Wicked (Elphaba), and on and on...

But now that we're done with that embarassing trip into my past...lol Can you tell I am the biggest, wussiest girl ever?

LOL. I can tell by your list that you've gotta be somewhere around my kids' ages. How well I remember the Babysitter's club books and Sweet Valley High. AND My Little Pony.

My son singing, "My little pony! Skinny and bony!". LOL! =>}

Those were the days!=>}

hey, you've finally posted something on your lj, congratulations! :D

my kiddie obsessions: ghostwriter (the show on pbs),nancy drew, boxcar children, those Goosebumps books, Sweet Vally High (the books), everything written by John Bellairs, The Sound of Music, Fraggle Rock, Mister Rogers' Neighborhood, Pee Wee Herman's Playhouse.

and the top three: The Chronicles of Narnia (all seven books), Anne of Green Gables, and and X-Files, of course. These three still are profoundly ingrained into my being. :D

Sweetie, I may have to disown you for Titanic. I'm having to stop myself from writing Titanic in big letters. Please, please tell me it's not true. I beg you. I'm on my knees here. :-) Should I tell you that I didn't even see it until one of my friends bought it on DVD and the begged me to come over and watch it? She was sorry she asked. Jack is dying and I'm sitting on the couch laughing and yelling at the TV for him to die faster. How ever did you go from Jack to Mulder, Krycek and Dean? Now, those, lovie, are men. Am I going to die a slow painful death now? (Skye hiding behind her hands and hoping to die quickly). I saw this at Betagoddess's LJ. Now I'm compelled to do it.

Leo has redeemed himself in my eyes after playing Howard Hughes. He was brilliant. But, he should apologize for the rest of life for the drivel that was Titanic. It surprises me that you cried. I was literally rolling on my friends couch laughing so hard that I was crying. But, I'm glad I don't have to live in fear of you. I feel much better now. :-)

Uh, who or what is JTT?

JTT is worse far worse than Leo. Leo has done several really great movies.

Go look at my journal and have a good laugh at my fandoms.

1 min and counting until SPN. Sigh. :-)

Much worship to the Babysitters Club! And Sweet Valley High too. Is it ok if I snag this for my LJ? :)

Your favourite in Ninja Turtles was the girl? Mine was the bad guy! lol From other kiddies shows, there was this Spanish cartoon version of the Three Mousquetaires from which my favourite was Athos. A bit later I read the original about eight times, and I swear to you that book turned me into a slasher I didn't even have an idea what it was. XD Around the age of ten I was also in mad love with "New Kids on the Block", one of the first boybands as we know them now.
