mf_luder_xf: (SPN evil!Sam)

The funniest interview ever (Jared and Jensen) : Jensen's gay. I've noticed it on set, says Jared with a grin.

Something else. So you people know Jensen sings, right? Well, he does. And I managed to get a version of his one song recorded for real (courtesy of [livejournal.com profile] supernatural_tv) and ok, his voice is perfectly suited for Texas, for country music. It fits that twang and emotional nasal sound. So maybe, he's not awful. But when you listen to opera all day, it grates a little on the ears. LOL

And now a huge slash meme, courtesy of [livejournal.com profile] crecd060.

The Big Slash meme
Read and/or write?: I do both
Since when?: Reading slash since June 05, writing since July 05
How did you stumble into slash?: *points finger* It's all Jynn and Bardsmaid's fault *loves*
Your first fandom and pairing: All about the X-Files and Mulder/Krycek
The first person you told about your new hobby: Well I kinda blurted it out all over online, but RL? HA!
The fandoms you read: XF, Supernatural, Once A Thief
The fandoms you write: XF, SPN, Queer As Folk, West Wing (in progress)
Your favourite pairings: Mulder/Krycek, Dean/Sam.
Favourite genres: Apocalypse, angst, well done underage (SPN).
Least favourite pairings: Skinner/Krycek, any weird character/Krycek (with exception of [livejournal.com profile] d_rainey's fic), Daddy!Wincest.
Least favourite genres: Mpreg.
What makes a story good?: Good grammar first off. Second is an interesting, complex plot, with realistic feelings (be they IC or not--though of course, I prefer IC). Third, good, realistic sex.
What makes a story bad?: *shudders* Bad grammar, spelling, changes in POV or tenses without warning, mpreg, ridiculous sappiness, "Fox", lots of endearments (baby, hun, etc).
The best author: Oh, my. I love Sleeps With Coyotes, Satina (great sex lol). For SPN I love [livejournal.com profile] la_folle_allure, [livejournal.com profile] maygra, and [livejournal.com profile] poisontaster.
Why?: They all write fascinating portrayals, complex stories, great description and angst. Sleeps With Coyotes has the best Krycek ever (and also an amazing Lex Luthor/Alex Krycek).
The best story you've ever read: Blood, Love, and Rhetoric--Sleeps With Coyotes (this is strictly slash, I have a few fav stories that happen to be het)
The worst author: Even if I knew one specifically, I wouldn't be mean like that.
Why?:
The worst story you've ever read: Again, even if I chose just one, I wouldn't list it.
The best story you have written: Ooooh. Hmmm. In SPN lots of people seem to like Heaven Can Wait.
The worst story you have written: Heh. One that's not published.
Do you leave feedback?: I do on LJ because it's easy. To write an email, it takes a lot and I have to be really taken by the fic or author.
Do you get feedback?: On LJ mainly, but some people are very nice with my The Holiday Series. *loves you all*
Do you have a favorite kink?: I do. Evil!Sam and black eyes when it comes to SPN. Oh, wait, you mean like sex kinks, right? I guess I tend to like gothic Sam and/or Dean. Lipgloss can be hott in fic like it could never be in real life. Other than that...I found a new kink courtesy of [livejournal.com profile] la_folle_allure. But I ain't telling.
Does something squick you?: BDSM
Is slash simply sex?: NO! I read slash because I love the angst between two men. It's so much more real and better when they can go past those hurdles. And if they can't, it's tragically beautiful.
Is slash a way of life?: LOL It is my life. ;-)
How much time do you spend reading/writing?: Oy. Too much, and not enough.
Do you have RL friends who slash?: I wouldn't know--I'd never ask.
Have you made online friends through slash?: Many, many!! And I love them all. Slash friends are the best.
Do you think slash is just a phase?: Not in RL and not for me. I think slash will always exist, and I'll always like it, even if I stop writing and reading someday.
Could you simply stop slashing?: Heh. See Wincest for the answer. Obviously not. Nothing will bother me if I read enough of it.
What do you think about...
Ratings G to PG-13: Can be good, but if it's meant to be actual slash, it better be very sensual and have a great plot.
Ratings R to NC-17: Love. I always prefer it in a plot, however.
AUs: There are few I like. In XF, I love The Alex Krycek Affair, and then I love apocalypse fics. But ironically (from what I originally though) I don't really like AU's where S&D aren't brothers.
ARs: Uh, I'm awful and either I have no clue what these are or else I just don't understand the acronym.
Crackfics: Hmmm. I've read one or two I like in SPN. They certainly can be amusing.
Porn: Dude. Duh.
Angst: My favorite kind.
Mush: Mmmmm, not so much in slash. I don't mind a little romantic leanings, but not so much 'mush'.
Love: Takes a lot of work to make it good.
Romance: This is good if done well.
BDSM: No, thank you.
Darkfics: Like apocalypse kind of dark? Like evil!Sam or cruel!Krycek kind of dark? Oh, hell yeah.
Deathfics: Can be bittersweet. Lord knows, I've written 2 or 3.
Non consensual/rape: If done well, I can like it as plot. Obviously I don't like the rape itself. I have one of these planned. Poor, poor Sam...
Rape recovery: Can be angsty and emotional, so good. If done badly or unrealistically, then its not good.
FPS: Ummm what else?
RPS: ONLY Jared and Jensen.
RPG: I tried once and just, no. Not for me.
First times: Must be realistic!! Without taking me out of the story by being too clinical. If they meet those two, then I love.
Established relationships: Wonderful, though of course, maybe not as angsty sex-wise. Then again...
Threesomes: HOTT.
m/m slash: LOL Wasn't this what we've been talking about the whole time?
femmeslash: No, thank you.
Slashing a children's book/movie: Umm, weird. I think this directly points to Harry Potter. Look, it's great and fine for those people, but with books, I feel completely satisfied with the way they're written and have no desire to alter anything.
Chanslash: Uhhh...I am going with [livejournal.com profile] crecd060's view of this as underage cause I have no clue, otherwise. With S&D I love it as long as its consensual.
Explicit sex: I like it most of the time, but again, I really do prefer plot around it, though I do read PWPs. All depends on my mood.
The importance of
characterization:
As close as possible. I don't mind if one characteristic is more extreme though, at times. For example, evil!Sam or cruel!Krycek. Sadistic!Mulder is fun too (ok only in one story that I know of). However, I hate my characters wussy. So ubervulnerable!Dean and sexslave/slutty!Krycek really turn me off.
OOCness: Blah. It makes it dull more than anything. Or really irritating.
Canon: Love!
Fanon: Well, I think we all fall into it.
Cliches: *headdesk*
Supernatural: LOL Of course! Both my main fandoms deal with supernatural things.
MPREG: *runs away screaming*
Wingfics: I love a well-done SPN wing!fic.
Genderfuck: Again, love it in SPN if well done.
Crossovers: Only in fandoms I like. And I I don't think I've ever found one I've liked. I have one planned, maybe two.
Group Slut Fics: Heh. I've read a few foursomes...
Incest: Brother Wincest-nothing else. Why do I like it? I'm not sure, cause the characters are so compatible? Doesn't mean I condone or condem it though.
May/December: I'm taking from [livejournal.com profile] crecd060 again here. I guess I don't mind Brian and Justin (QAF), but beyond that...I don't know if I'd like a huge age gap. I've never had to deal with one (except Daddy Wincest).
Het pairings in a slash fic: Subplot or threesomes.
Plot: *makes grabby motions*
PWPs: Can be good if its what I'm in the mood for.
WIPs: They frustrate me, but often they can be really good (Demon Country for example). However, please finish them. I still am angsty over Mare's Wicked Game not being finished.
LJ fics and communities: Thank God for LJ.
Mailing lists: Very informational.
Big Name Fans: Don't really care. I just like good fic.
Politics in a slash story: If it's the politics of the show (like West Wing) that's just fine. Otherwise, I don't want to hear it.
Religion in a slash story: Only if relevant, again. I do like symbolism.
Wake up Gay: *headdesk* I mean, ok, maybe you never realized, but it's still gotta be a little bit of a progression up to the ultimate lightbulb. And you're not automatically gay, I don't think--not in these fics anyway. Like I don't think Dean would wake up one morning and decides he hates women and would only ever have sex with men. I think he's more bi.
And finally....
Your pet peeve: BAD GRAMMAR, CHANGES IN POV/TENSE. Ok, whew. Anytime Krycek calls Mulder, 'Fox'. He never did that and has no reason to. Also, endearments.
Your advice to new slashers: Steer away from cliches and you know, watch the show, whatever it may be. Try to write out a character analysis prior.
Your slash wish list: I would love another uber long (try like real novel length--400+ word doc pages) S&D apocalypse fic. Very angsty, lots of pain and mystery, symbolism, love, sadness.
The best slash archive: Gossamer, Gertie's Shippers, Sinful Desire
The worst slash archive: Ones that don't organize the fics well, ads, bad colors.
