First off, wow. I swear, there wasn't an ep I didn't like. Best season by far. And there's never been a show for me where I don't dislike at least 2 or 3 eps. So yes, wow.

And so, I'm only going to talk about eps that I REALLY liked.

Seth:

I loved this ep because I thought the idea of a Gou'ald hiding out on Earth, and having its own religious following since way back when was very cool. Also, the cult, the stand-off between the SGC and ATF (which by the way, LAMEST government agency ever LOL) and the general feel, while it was very Stargate-y, it also left me feeling warm XF feelings. Conspiracy, religion, cult...and of course, I love ever time we see the Tok'ra and Carter's father.

Learning Curve:

Now this is the kind of ep I've been waiting for. Total culture clash and Earth thinking its high and mighty in all ethical things when whose to say Orban's way was wrong. Nice thoughts on relativism, and education, children and adults. Very insightful and a good character ep.

Point of View:

Quantum mirror. Gou'ald attacking. Alternate reality Sam where yet again, she and Jack are together. The first AR had them engaged, in this one, they're married. So cute!! I was very sad for AR Sam, but definitely hopeful for "our" Sam. reminded me of a Sheppard/McKay fic I read, General and Dr Sheppard (which by the way is a good D/s fic for those of you who enjoy that kind of thing) where at one point Elizabeth asks John is he ever feels like the universe is trying to tell him something. Hello, Jack!! The universe is totally trying to tell you something!! Also, I much prefer Amanda Tapping with long hair. Some people can do short hair, but AT is much prettier with long.

Deadman Switch:

Ok, I just cracked up with this one. Aris Boch RULES.

Forever in a Day:

Oh, Daniel!! My heart broke. I couldn't believe Sha're was dead at first. Again, a very nice emotional character piece. I was wondering how Daniel would ever forgive Teal'c (because Daniel seems to be able to hold grudges very well) but it made sense when Sha're told him to. Daniel would--did--do anything for her.

Urgo:

OMG funniest ep this show has had yet. This was like those bizarre, hilarious XF eps where you're like, WTF? But I loved Dom DeLoiuse as Urgo and General Hammond wondering if his SG-1 team had gone all insane. Light-hearted but with a little lesson in there as well.

Shades of Grey:

While I am still wondering about the preview photo on the box and the title screen for this ep (uh, because no such man/creature is in the ep), I LOVED this ep. I knew something was up, but at the same time, I loved his comment to Sam in the beginning that he hadn't been acting like himself since he met her but now he was (being pissy and greedy and such) because if one thinks of the movie...he's completely right. The Jack in the movie was more stoic and would gladly have taken the technology. It was only RDA's revision of the character and in a sense, if one can assume getting to know Daniel and his team and having gone to many planets, it makes total sense. I also loved the conversation between Jack and Daniel because even knowing something was up, it was heart-wrenching. Those two are definitely BFFs. They're a perfect balance for one another. And then, of course, NID. Which, I love. Secret civilian plans and stealing and subterfuge...my kind of ep!!

General Thoughts:

Jack. Ever funny. Seriously, he's kind of sarcastic, foolery, and snarkiness. But he's so well-developed. His care for his team, the way he disobeyed orders to give the little girl a true kid's experience in Learning Curve, his reaction to AR Sam...beautiful.

Michael Shanks. He didn't seem quite as prevelent this season, but in Legacy...WOW. He shone. Great acting.

So, you might not have guessed, but sometimes I roll my eyes at the theme of religion in this show. Just, everything seems to revolve around religion. The Gou'ald, the Ori, individual eps...well, this season, they pulled in some new ones from past seasons and I thought they played very well. Like Seth, or in Demons. And I love, love, love Sokar. I'm really hoping he's not dead. Just because, he's the only Gou'ald that hasn't made me want to roll my eyes with the whole god thing and the tacky Egyptian clothing. I mean, the gou'ald plays the devil. And looks creepy. And his minions (heh) are all dressed like devils. It was cool.

I HATED the way they brought back Lynae. First off, I always thought maybe I just hated the grown up Samantha Mulder. But now I've seen the actress on SG-1 and SGA and really? It's the actress. She just grates on my nerves something AWFUL. Plus, making Daniel fall in love one ep after his wife died? WTF is up with that?

Again, I cannot get enough of the NID. I want to smash them to bits, but it's like the person you love to hate. That's me and Maybourne. Slimy bastard, but I loved Sam calling him in Foothold and how that ep played out and then in Shades of Grey.

So all this time, I've been thinking Daniel's the biggest space pimp ever. And he is. Totally. But then we have A Hundred Days and it reminded me of Epiphany (SGA) and I sort of wanted to shoot myself. I mean, they pulled it off very well which is why I don't hate the ep, but I admit to groaning. And this is a random side note, but why is it only the men get action? I mean Narim likes Sam, as does Martuff, but she's gotten one lousy kiss in three seasons while Jack's been laid twice and I don't know how many times Daniel has been. And then on SGA only Shep gets laid. I really have to wonder about that.

They also brought back the Nox. Which I love. Any ep with the Tollan or the Nox is a good ep. And! We also saw our first ascended being!! In the little temple in Keb when Daniel was reading the stuff on the wall I was thinking in my head, "Ascension! Ascension!!" It was very exciting. *G* And the replicators!! I hadn't realized that was what Thor was talking about when he said something worse than the Gou'ald. It'll be interesting to see how that pans out given what I know about SGA replicators.

And in a small note...I ♥ Major Davis. He's adorable and the poor guy has to put up with a lot of shit being the go-to guy between the SGC and the Pentagon.

And of course, Jack's cabin in Minnesota. Totally explains why I love the guy. ;-) Except, we only say "Ya, sure, you betcha" as a joke. Thank God.

Seriously, I could ramble on all day about how good all of these eps were. Even ones I thought were going to be stupid like A Hundred Days and The Crystal Skull were very enjoyable.

My biggest complaint. Why in God's name did the change the intro on the very last ep of the season? What was wrong with the old one? I HATE the new one.

PS--Happy April Fool's Day and Palm Sunday!
