mf_luder_xfJust my ramblings as the ep went on tonight. Man, I love Supernatural. It wasn't a very funny ep, but that's ok because it was flashback time and lots of angst for Dean. Spoiler galore. ANd if the English is a little funny forgive me, I was typing it as it was playing.
Little girl says a prayer with her dad watching her. I am so grateful my mom never did that. Talk about overprotective.
Little girl is scared of the *scritch scritch* on the window. Creature sucks child's soul out. Lovely.
And Sam and Dean are back in the north (WI)!! Dean attempts to pull big brother seniority, with that ever present smirk.
Thay've got coffee again and has anyone else noticed the coffee cups are always the exact same? Nice going local Vancouver coffee shoppe.
Sam wonders why no kids are playing on the playground. Well, it's a gloomy day and in my town not a lot of kids play at the park either.
Both of them look like total schmucks in their suits. Sam's tie is reminiscent of Mulder. They walk into the hospital disguised as CDC.
Dean gives Sam a badge with bikini inspector (isn't that classic?) on it and laughs when Sam gets asked to show it. Dean sees a old woman whose room ia adorned with an upside down cross. Anyone know that that was how St Peter was crucified?
Thus far they find no traces of supernatural qualities. But on the window...a weird rotted handprint. And holy cow if that's not a gorgeous Jensen fading into a cute little kid!!! Who's just as much a smart-ass as grown Dean. JDM's hair--hahahahhahahah. A very pretty *gulp* from Dean as he mentions they need to finish the job.
Little Sammy is adorable, just slightly chubby and his hairs even cut the same way as Jared's is now. Awww. And little Dean plays protective brother well as he stares at Sam.

Another motel and they're chasing a streega? Some kind of witch.
Sam wonders why if Dad was chasing the thing is isn't dead. Dean cracks maybe Dad didn't have his Wheaties that morning and while Sam looks incredulous, Dean shifts uncomfortably. Hmmm...
A boy greets him at hotel and asks whther he wants a king or two queens. Dean glances outside and says two queens. The kid sees Sam and goes, two queens, yeah, I'll bet. HAHAHAHHAHAHHA I love the slashy flavor of this show. Mom walks in and we see the kid has a younger brother. Then Dean goes back to a memory where he gives Sam the Lucky Charms and isn't little Sam annoying because Dean hasn't had any and Sam's demanding them but at least he offers the prize to Dean.
Dean seems incredibly uncomfortable talking about this Albanian witch and Sam knows something up but doesn't say anything.
Aha! the old woman at the hospital must be the witch! Conveniant. Sam give hims shit-call the coast guard an old person in a hospital, but then Dean mentions the cross and Sam shuts up.
Pulling guns on old ladies isn't nice...and Dean leans in and holy crap, I think Dean had a heartattack!!!!!! *me too, despite knowing it was coming as he leaned in* What was he trying to do, kiss her? He really didn't need to be that close. LOL
Back to the motel...and the two adorable brothers sleeping, sons of the motel manager...hmmm looks like they're doomed!

Love Sam laughing at Dean's heartattack from the night before.
Older boy, Michael, sitting outside and he looks sad and guess what? His btohers got supposed pneumonia, just like all the other kids. But Dean knows better doesn't he? He promises it's not the kids fault and you can just hear the pain he's having cause he knows its him and Sam all over.
And it's the microfiche for Sam while Dean's still at the hospital.. Sam looks good with newsprint reflected on him (when doesn't he though?).
Oho!! The doctor's got the same name, Sam found a picture from 1893, and it's not a female witch, it's a male one and convienant that he's in charge of the hospital no? Both Sam and Dean beat themselves up for it...
"Gettin' wise in your old age, Dean"--nice Sam.
Sam won't use Michael as bait and we suddenly realize why Deans been upset and now it comes out. Flashback:
Dean leaves the motel against Dad's wishes. Where a little 10 yr old can go I don't know...to an arcade, I guess. He's back and the door's open and what's he going to find...what else but the streega!! Come on little Dean, faster with that gun!!! In comes Dad, and OMG isn't he an amazing Daddy!! And poor Dean, poor clueless Sam and poor Dad!!
Now we find out why Dean obey everything Dad says now, because the one time he didn't it nearly cost him his brother. Poor kid.
Note to Jensen: Don't lick your lips with those watery eyes...
My God, Jensen's beautiful. *turns down the heat*
LOL I love that the little kid doesn't believe him as Dean talks to him about this monster. Aww. And Dean looks so good in that jacket and his eyes look real green. *pants*
The kid says no. He doesn't want to help. Back in the room--Dean, "Well that went crappy." Haha Oh, but little boy's back.
"Would you do anything for him [your little brother]?" says Michael--he's agreed. At this point my neighbors must think I'm crazy because I literally let out a fangirl squee which I have never done before. *hides in shame*
Night vision!Dean.
*muses to self* Michael's adorable, he's going to be good looking when he's older.
And now Dean's eyes look brown and they're all soothing and isn't he great? Why can I just imagine this brazen hunter as a dad?
Sam and Dean sit in the room watching night vision. Planning on using consecrated iron rounds to kill the thing. First it has to get close enough to feed though. I just really feel like this plot is completly contrived and the writers just pulled out every classic trick and turn in the book and I hope they were just saving up for the last few eps here.
Emo time!! Sam starts apologizing in his own way to Dean. "Oh, God, kill me now," says Dean. Yup, another chick-flick moment, bro.
They see spooky witch-man and they get ready, tense...Sam can't wait, monster goes closer..Dean waits...and they're in, guns blazing and it seems its dead (but what have we all learned?).
*loses train of thought*
Holy cow, took me a minute to come back to myself. It grabs Sam by the throat and whoa I screamed as his soul is being sucked out and yet I can't help but think of Dementors and the things so close (how dare it touch Sam again?) and then of course, Dean to the rescue and he gets it and thank God. "You ok, little brother?" OMG I think I love you Dean. Sam manages a thumbs up and yay he's alive. And now Michael knows that Sam's the brother. And he comes out and it's over. All the souls start floating out of the witch and Dean shoots it again--for good measure or just in reaction to it trying to take his Sammy?

Asher is going to be well!! Yay, of course.
Mom: "Did anything happen while I was gone?"
Michael: "No, nothing..." LOL
Then Sam waxes Sammy as he wishes for innocense.
Dean: "If it means anything, sometimes I wish you could too."
Dean!!!! I just know your whole heart was in that and your look...I am so in love.
Especially with the cheesy 80's music at the end.

Next week and season clips--and both Dean and Sam are kissing girls, and that's so gross. ;-)
