THIS CLIP.

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

Now, apparently, there's some controversy over the reactions to this clip (seems to be Coulson/Barton shippers versus self-proclaimed feminists - yeah, this is fandom, of course), but that aside, here was my reaction watching it the first time:

1. Hahaha, Natasha's face when the guy goes "I don't give everything". GENIUS.
2. Hawkeye compromised? WTF does that mean? WTF WHEDON DON'T KILL HIM.
3. Her face when she hears about Barton. AW.
4. DAMN. Natasha kicks ass.
5. Stunt doubles really should be the actual superheroes because the fuck, no one can roll their chair like that or flip it or...HOW IS THAT POSSIBLE.
6. Coulson's calm, collected, 'tick tock I'm waiting' expression while he's on "hold". It looks exactly like someone does in an elevator or on hold. While he's listening to Natasha decimating the people and surrounding property. HAHAHAHA, COULSON, I LOVE YOU. BEST FACE EVER.

And seriously, I keep watching this clip over and over because Natasha rolling that chair and Coulson's FACE are like, the best thing yet about this movie. IT NEEDS TO BE MAY 4TH NOW.

ETA: And then there's THIS interview and, more importantly, video of Jeremy Renner. I am ridiculously in love with this man. Move aside Fassbender, you've been replaced! (Not really, but kinda.) I'm just sort of imagining it's Clint on a photoshoot Stark set up for him because you know, if Steve would maybe be embarrassed/awkward by photoshoots, Clint would eat that attention up. :D

I really need to stop reading/obtaining spoilers because frankly, they're making me like season 6 less and less.

4. Outbreak

This cartoon reminded me of Croatoan and the beginning of The Devil You Know. Basically, it's a riff on all zombie movies, but I kinda liken it to SPN in many ways. (Also, if you're not an XKCD connoisseur, hold the mouse over the comic to get more humor.)

5. For actor Misha Collins, playing Paul Bernardo became an unwelcome trip into his own dark side

Just an interesting article on Misha playing Paul Bernardo in Karla. It's a really interesting look into Misha's thoughts on the movie and character (especially since he seems to have reversed his opinions). It also showcases that Misha is intelligent and well-spoken (when he wants to be, lol). And he's never even been in a fist-fight, awww! My favorite line from the writer: The American actor with the handsome face of a young Robert Redford . Misha spouse, y/y?

6. I've Got Legs. Do You Like Bread? by [livejournal.com profile] queenklu (Misha Collins and Michael Rosenbaum)

Thanks to this author, I discovered a renewed love for RPS...of the strangest kind. I can't really get into the Misha/Jensen or Misha/Jared fics for some reason (because I like J2 together? because no one ever addresses #1 in the fics I read? IDK.). But the author's writing and characterization really got me excited for this pairing: Misha and Michael Rosenbaum. That's right, Rosenbaum of Smallville. Yeah, plays Lex Luthor? Michael is such a dork in RL that he seems a perfect match for Misha. This fic is kid!Mike and kid!Misha and it's totally PG and utterly ADORKABLE. THEY'RE BESTIES. It's an RPS AU. (Jensen and Jared are girls. Brilliant!) Seriously, even if you're not a RPSer (as in you don't like the idea of two real people kissing who aren't together) it's adorable. GO READ.

7. The Baum is the Key (and the Rosen) by [livejournal.com profile] queenklu (Misha Collins/Michael Rosenbaum)

Pure, unadulterated RPS/SPN CRACK. But it's brilliant. Really good crack is hard to pull off, but this author can make you WTF, spit Coke through your nose, and go awww all within sentences of each other. The characterization! Like, I don't care if it's nothing like Misha or Michael in RL. It's written so well, so fully-fleshed out, you absolutely believe it's really Misha and Mike. It helps that the author uses real Misha tweets. Because he actually is that cray-cray. Also, Misha babysits. And Tom Welling plagues everyone at CW parties with the PheTomenon.

8. Look at us we're beautiful by [livejournal.com profile] zelda_zee (Misha Collins/Adam Lambert)

Not cracky at all, though the pairing may somehow make it seem so. But the situation is plausible (we all know Misha has been to Burning Man) and the way the author writes Misha is fascinating. The story itself is smoking (heh, pun not intended) and incredibly sexy. PWP, but we all love a little porn, right? The image of the two of them together...they'd be gorgeous.

Supernatural Stuff

1. Quarters, Sharing is Caring, and Heaven or Las Vegas by [livejournal.com profile] trinityofone are all part of an AU verse in which Ruby is snarky demon but still ends up being the friend to an angel, Castiel discovers a little bit more about being human, and there's the hunt, the Impala, arguments, and sex. Dean/Castiel and Sam/Ruby.

2. Lend a Hand and Lift Me by [livejournal.com profile] xgreyfeather

In which Anna gently matchmakes (more or less, she opens Castiel's eyes), Dean has his usual problems of believing he's worth anything, and the two fix each other. There's sex, and yet it's still lovely. Dean/Castiel

3. The Consequences of Falling by [livejournal.com profile] pandarus

Ok, I can say I have a few quibbles with some characterization, but as a whole this fic is outstanding. Castiel makes the transition from angel to human when he decides to save the boys lives and who is there to pick him up? Ruby, of course. This is one of the best Ruby characterizations ever. You'll definitely like her more than Kripke's (mainly because the S4 finale isn't in here). And she gets what she deserves at one point. Oh, also? There's an offering of Castiel as a virgin. Very funny, very sexy, with some nice angel!angst and Dean!angst. Dean/Castiel, Sam/Ruby.

4. Have Faith by [livejournal.com profile] gembat

A brilliant, lovely, unique piece of digital Castiel/Dean art. Take a look. NSFW.

5. Till We Have Faces by an unrevealed author (part of a secret fic thing at [livejournal.com profile] deancastiel).

The apocalypse is over and Dean has been granted a gift to see Castiel's true form. There's a wonderful OC in this short story and Dean and Castiel break my heart in all the good ways. But it's not just about them, either. My favorite line of the whole piece is a little comment Dean makes to John Winchester. Dean/Castiel.

Star Trek Stuff

1. Interview with Chris Pine and Zachary Quinto

Chris to Zach: That's your morning voice? That's a great morning voice.

They also totally fight over vocabulary. Dorks! ♥

2. Dancehall Drug by [livejournal.com profile] anythingever

An intensely hot and hilarious Zach/Chris RPF. Seriously. Hilarious as fuck. In which Chris somehow fits into Zach's pants, and there is hot, HOT sex (just, not quite with each other).

3. Congrats, You've Met Your Match (The Space Captain Remix) by [livejournal.com profile] roga

A very funny remixed fic featuring John Sheppard as "the new guy" at Starfleet Academy. Have you heard of anything as absurd as Kirk trying to outdo the master of cool? Kirk has to learn his lesson the hard when he tries to out seduce the next big spacewhore. John Sheppard/Jim Kirk, SGA/Star Trek crossover. I want this pairing like ALL THE TIME now.

4. I'm On A Ship by [livejournal.com profile] sparkly_stuff (and other fans)

Ok, I'm actually sad the creator changed the format of the post, because the song used to start automatically. So, in my opinion, for full effect, scroll down to the youtube vid at the bottom of the post (without reading the stuff in between!!) and start it, the scroll up to the top and follow the picspam down. Then reexamine the gif at the top and check out the other youtube vid another fan made singing the lyrics to clips from the movie. This whole post is made of EPIC WIN. Genius, seriously.

5. However Improbable by [livejournal.com profile] tabled

This is one of the funniest fics I've read in the new Trek fandom. The author's McCoy is just PERFECT. One-sided Spock/Kirk.

I ♥ Misha!!

YV: So you haven’t been accosted?

MC: Well … it depends on how you define "accosted." But, you know, not violated, I don’t think.
There have been a few people, in very serious tones, who have professed their love for me after a 10-second conversation, which, to me, just felt a little hasty.

Finally, the long-awaited trailer. I saw this on the big screen when I went to see Quantum of Solace. O.M.G!!
mf_luder_xf: (SGA xmas J/R)
To those of you who say the SGA writing staff writes their own fanboyness, here's proof:

Jadeski writes: “Question for Marty G: How do you feel about writing the most polarizing episodes of SGA? ‘Sunday’ and ‘Brainstorm’ come to mind immediately but I’m sure there were others. Do you set out to divide people or is it just one of those things?”

A:Not really. I write the shows I, the fan, want to see. Some people disagree with me…that’s really it. No nefarious plan…

BUT. BUT! He's also the biggest McShep fan ever. LOL

DemonHunter writes: “If Atlantis went on to season 6 would McKay have been a daddy next year???”

A: Yes…and Sheppard would have been the mommy. It would have been an awesome arch.

Ok, all but items 6, 5, and 1 are lame. But the point is: CAST!! And Tricia in her red dress!!

3. Supernatural Creator Eric Kripke: Dean Lives!

What is it with creators and actors spoiling the plots?! First Adrian, now Kripke. I mean, I never would have guessed Dean was still alive!! *sarcastic* All that aside, it's a really interesting interview. (And it does give one bit of information I'm really happy about.) Spoilers for S4.

So New York's ComicCon was the weekend. And after watching The Videos, I just have this overwhelming amused and fuzzy feeling towards Chris Carter. He was polite, funny, and snarky. The best part is by far this:

Fan Question: Did you read any internet fanfic as inspiration for your steamy love scene?

(CC and FS laugh)

MC: I know I did.

CC: Uhh...(pause)...this is a PG-13 movie, so that stuff is way too racy for us.

(audience laughs)

CC: Uh, no, we did not. But I appreciate the fanfiction and ongoing, uh...*shakes head*....uh...People are living much more hot and racy lives than I am.

LOLZ!!! Oh, CC. ♥

And then his last comment of the panel:

Fan Question: Will Mitch Pileggi be in the movie?

CC: Actually, he'll be in that steamy love scene with Mulder and Scully.

(CC laughs)

Ha! Genius. And now I'm off to watch last night's BSG.

BSG!

Mar. 30th, 2008 01:48 pm
mf_luder_xf: (BSG 6)
So BSG starts back up again soon, and I'll be watching as soon as a) I watch S1 of TW, b) rewatch S2&3 of BSG, and c) dl the eps. This won't take nearly as long as it sounds. I think I'd watched S2&3 all in a week last summer.

But I did catch scans from the UK's FHM of Tricia Helfer

Now, I just want to quote one Q&A:

...I just read for this new pilot, actually. It was a script I really loved: the character was going to be a liason between two FBI agencies. And she used to be a US Marines Special Investigator...

Putting aside that the FBI is the agenciy and she'd be the go between two departments or unit or something....anyone else think this sounds like JJ Abrams crazy XF copycat pilot? The sad thing is, I might tune in if Tricia was starring (though from the rest of her comments, I don't think she will be).
mf_luder_xf: (SGA McKay high)
My flist seems intent on giving me a hernia regarding next week's ep of SGA. I don't watch the promos and now I'm nervous and I hate going into an ep thinking I might not like it.

*squeezes eyes shut and puts fingers in ears*

Lalalalallalacan'thearyoulalalalalallala!!!

Things to check out:

Joe Flan at VES red carpet

If you haven't seen this video, it must be viewed. If only to mock JoeF's hobo appearance. LOL I mean, everything from the neck down looks fab. But then...well, ok, and I have to ask, is that suit velour?? Joe's wife looks thrilled, too. Oh, also, the interviewer apparently didn't do his research.

Gareth David-Lloyd Interview

For those of you who don't know (or pay attention), that's Ianto from Torchwood. This interview is just rather adorable. Oh, and? He spends hours reading fanfic. FTW!
mf_luder_xf: (SGA McShep)
ONTD does it again. For all you Torchwood and slash fans (seriously, just go read it for John's blatant comments, even if you don't care about TW), Bent (which appears to be some kind of UK gay interest magazine?) has an interview with John Barrowman.

...my nieces and nephews have known I was gay since they were born. It's always been Uncle John and Uncle Scott and that's the way it should be. People joke, "Oh John, get off your soap box" but it is a soapbox and it's something that matters to me. It's normal, we have partners, we have sex, and we do the same, well sort of, things that men and women do. I mean, I put a willy in my mouth like a straight man's wife puts it in hers, you know what I mean?

I think I sort of love the guy, now. And I was highly amused by his comments on Americans, even as I was like, hey now...

Interview with JB (it's on about page 15 when flipping through)

Rec Time!!

1) Snapshots From a Divorce by [livejournal.com profile] scribblinlenore (Shep/OFC, Shep/OMC)

So now that we've finally met John Sheppard's ex, I love this story more than ever. I keep meaning to do my Outcast post, but for now let's just say I don't hate her character. But Lenore's Dee is just...amazing. This whole fic is. And it gives me a frame of reference. Because God, I love this whole idea, the characters, the relationship, the disaster. It's beautiful and so, so painful(ly) good.

2) The Home front by [livejournal.com profile] aesc

The perfect Outcast tag. I think the end of Qurantine through to Outcast is the most prime spot of the whole series (thus far) for John and Rodney to start a relationship and it plays out so perfect here. I want to smack John for his family social retardedness, but Rodney is amazingly well balanced and things don't end up so bad. Love this fic.

3) Post-Nuptial by [livejournal.com profile] rageprufrock

Written for 14 Valentines (see link in story), this is a hilarious, hilarious aliens sorta of convinced them+kid!fic fic. it's adorable. I started laughing at And why do they think I’m the one ‘bearing fruit’ anyway! I’m obviously a pollinator.” and didn't stop until the end except for a few big 'awww's' in between. And when they do get it on? HOT.
mf_luder_xf: (SGA Weir LOL)
Ok, look, folks. I'm not into bandom and I never will be. I won't write or read the slash, and most of all, I won't listen to their music (I have this thing with whiny sounding tenors--give me an operatic bass any day), but all that being said...

The guys in these bandom bands are pretty fucking cool.

It's like the exact opposite of how I like my actors. If you've been around me long enough, you know I tend to dislike the actual actors. Frankly, the only one I've found that I truly think I'd like in person, is David Hewlett. All the rest make me want to shoot myself sometimes with various comments they make. But I love their work, their characters.

But, even though I can't keep track of the bands, much less the bandmates names...I love reading their crazy interviews and seeing them practically mack on each other. because, hey,. way to spread the love. *G*

So, either go get this month's OUT, or checkout This Post for an amusing Panic! interview. My title is from the interview and is probably the best line I have ever read in an interview. LOL

Also, if anyone has this pornomime vide where I don't have to get an account with YouTube...I really want to watch it. It sounds like total crack.

And then a random little article from MSNBC for those of us who read/write incest. Scarier in real life...and yet, almost more amusing given the circumstances. I think I've read this plotline in a few SPN, oh, and yep, even one SGA fic. Twins separated at birth meet, get married

1). Bionic Woman this week rocked.

Seriously, she's like the female Jack Bauer. I mean, granted he does it without the aid of technology implants, but still. She's pretty damn cool. And the TA's HOTT. And Nathan? So funny.

2). Speaking of 24...

There WERE some amazing promos available on YouTube but FOX is apparently on the ball and catches them within a day. *shakes fist* But if any of you have seen The Sentinel with Kiefer Sutherland and Michael Douglas, it's going to be that...only 20 times better because a) no Eva Longoria and b) faster paced because it's frakking 24.

3). Of frakking...

BSG is not set to come out until APRIL 2008. What is that shit? And want to bet they give us some crap break like they did for SG1 and SGA? *hates on Sci Fi Channel*

4). If you live in the UK...

You can get Battlestar Galactica Season 3, already. NOT FAIR!

5). Well, Sci Fi got one thing right.

Season 5 of SG: Atlantis is a GO, for those of you living under a rock. In Afghanistan. Probably hanging out in the caves with You Know Who.

6). McKay

How funny is this action figure? Seriously, does not look like Hewlett AT ALL. LOL

7). More Action figure humor.

Dude. A TWO-PACK. LOL

Blue Light Special: Two for One!!

8). SEX.

Now that I have your attention...

If a condom is typically 85% effective in stopping pregnancies, how is it nearly 100% effective in stopping the spread of AIDs?

However, this article has both good points, and clarifies some REALLY DUMB myths about sex (I know you don't all need this info, but like I said, good article).

What teens don't know about contraceptives could hurt them.

7). MORE SEX

So umm, I found a funny *cough* little blog.

Gay Porn For Girls

*sets flist free to explore*

8). Of Star Trek (Yes, you read that right.)

Most of you know, I'm not a fan of the biggest sci-fi show ever, and the first slash pairing. But after watching this video, I just might change my mind...I never knew!! Half naked in a (presumably alien) jail. Plus, Shatner wears embroidery. And his pain face is WAY too similar to an 'O' face for it to be coincidence. LOL

ETA: 9). Harry Potter

David Thewlis (Professor Lupin) weighs in on Dumbledore being gay. Hah!! Fanfic ♥

I only wish I could go to something like ComicCon, see the panels, laugh at the silly people in ridiculous costumes...but alas, I am poor. So instead, I enjoy through other people's posts.

To begin, this post by [livejournal.com profile] perseph2hades is amazing. It's got just about every show I could have been interested there and tons of pictures of crazy (but funnny!) fans. I've got my own little commentary which you are free to read beforehand or after reviewing the fabulous post.

Interesting interview on GateWorld with David Hewlett. This one in particular both excites me...and makes me raise an eyebrow.

GW: So for fans who haven't read yet, what is the basic pitch for what Starcrossed is? Is it the same Starcrossed that we see in "A Dog's Breakfast?"

DH: Well, that was what spawned the idea, really, because we had so much fun shooting that. Someone said, "You should make Starcrossed into a series." "Well, that is such silly sci-fi. I don't know if you could maintain that for a full hour of television."

So I started thinking about it and just thought: behind the scenes. We're privy to making Stargate and "Cube" and all the other sci-fis, "Boas vs. Pythons," and all that kind of stuff that I've done in the past. I've seen how silly it is to make serious sci-fi.

So yeah, basically we went in and pitched SCI FI on the idea of doing something like The Larry Sanders Show, only instead of it being about late night television it would be about making science fiction television. [The] Office kind of stuff. And they really responded well to the pitch and then commissioned the script from there.

So that's basically the idea. It's, for want of a better word, a situation comedy about the making of a science fiction show, because there's really nothing sillier than serious science fiction. There's just nothing like some poor guy dressed up in a big rubber suit, covered in hair gel and, while we're being terrorized by this creation, there's a man in the background eating a sandwich picking his nose while we're trying to shoot.

It's just fun. It's very loosely based on a Stargate kind of thing, but it's not Stargate. It's not a spoof. It's just the silliness of the day-to-day life of trying to make a television series.

I just want to know...after the (terribly sad and unjust) failure of Studio 60, why is NBC going for this behind-the-scenes-of-a-TV-show thing? I mean, I think it'll be good, but it seems an odd network decision.

Squee: Kripke, I love you.

What we're trying to do is what shows that we admire tried to do, like The X-Files and Buffy. Yes, The X-Files is about Mulder and Scully, but Skinner grew to play a part. The Lone Gunmen grew to play a part.

I actually think I'm going to like one of the new additions...
